(I missed the boat on this one the first time around when all the buzz was buzzing. I think maybe I heard a track or two. So really, this is my first listen to the album as a whole.)
On first listen:
Sounds very Talking Heads, like David Byrne singing through his nose or a shakier Gordan Gano. Also I get hints of Magnetic Fields intrumental work, think Adventures of Pete & Pete scoring. This album had a lot of hype, and it's good, but I don't think it is ground shaking.
